Larken Rose - The Government Con
September 16, 2012
Larken Rose is known for debunking the most dangerous superstition, government. He is a Voluntaryist/Anarchist and a tax protester, as well as an author of several books. He has a podcast radio program airing every Sunday called "Outside the Cage." Much of what Larken Rose does to promote the concepts of self-ownership and a voluntary society, writing articles, giving talks, making videos, he does for free. Larken will explain the myth of the necessity of government. We’ll talk about how people have been programmed to believe in the authority of government and the monstrous results thereafter. In the second hour, Larken continues to explain how governments must cloak their actions in an aura of moral legitimacy in order to sustain their power. He further demystifies the government superstition and exposes tyranny, murder, lies and violence. Larken says we need freedom, not democracy. We’ll talk about what the world would look like without government. The hour ends on the political future of the USA and the ripple effect.

Larken makes some powerful points
It is not difficult to see what is wrong with the government system and how we are now stuck like glue in this nightmare. It is harder to find the point where we slipped and fell down this hole, maybe it was the archons, the annunaki, dna or just plain stupidity. How do we change it? We need to begin with a massive awakening from the sleepwalking madness that 97% of people are in, then we can dismantle the madness, address the failings of education, the banking system, the war after war , but only when we dismantle the power elite in the top 1% of the pyramid will we even be on square one. We are getting there, people are awakening more and more and this station is just one indication of that.

great summary
This does well to encompass most of the larger points that Mark Pasio has spent hundreds of shows to adresss. Defining the problem of controlling systems that he didn't get into as much detail as he should have when he was interviewed here on Red Ice.

If I have any people that I care about that want to affect a positive future, then I will hand them this recording and reffer them to whatonearthishappening for greater details.

Like a synopsis of my animated short
At 5:30, Larken makes exactly the point I'm trying to convey with my ultra short film "Sacrifice":

Larken Rose puts our problems with authority succinctly - he is a brave individual.

He encapsulates some of the problems far better than I can when talking to friends and acquaintances of my own frustrations about authority.

I empathise with those who still believe authority is a necessity and natural to mankind - it is scary to challenge a system of `rules for living' that for many us have almost been absorbed into our dna; but truth is, for the sake of all sentient life on the planet, we each have a duty to learn how to be our own authority by bearing ownership of responsibility. Like changing eating habits - it wont necessarily happen overnight - but simply having the intent sometimes is the first successful step.

Humanity is the only life force at this time on this planet that can turn things around for the benefit of all. We have no choice but to step into stewardship and say to so called authority "[k] no [w]" !!

The fallacy of needing government to protect us from psychopaths
@Paul #13 - it's for EXACTLY the reason you state, with 1/30 being bonafide psychopaths, that Larken's point is absolutely crucial to understand more clearly. Since it's the people with that profile who seek the reins of your power, and the legitimacy to use it against you. Which they will surely do.

I appreciate his sentiments and I do feel that today we would be far better off in an old west kind of Common Law justice than the corporate fraud we have today.

However, the sentiment is also very much the same fictional mistake people make and the root cause of much of our problem. He is naively suckered into thinking we are in paradise lost. We aren't. We're very near the bottom of the create. We're almost unconscious here. In fact, great souls have said, " here, we are almost non-entities". In the US alone 1/30 psychopaths means around 10 million or so people in the US have no conscience. Are they going to magically grow one without a fiction like government being removed from our thinking? No.

What has never really existed is a world where it has clearly been enunciated "The harmless must remain unharmed". If that was the rule of law and there was no other all actions of government or individuals was measured against that with rationalized exceptions then we'd have the mind checked and the world tolerable for the non-psychopath 29 out of 30. Of course 2/3 would still be vulnerable to the psychopaths manipulations!
