David Talbott - Lightning Scarred Planet Mars & The Electric Sun
December 6, 2012
David Talbott is a comparative mythologist whose work offers a radical new vantage point on the origin of ancient cultural themes and symbols. His research has been the primary catalyst behind the “Saturn Model,” and is the subject of the feature documentary, “Remembering the End of the World.” He is the author of The Saturn Myth and co-author with Wallace Thornhill of Thunderbolts of the Gods and The Electric Universe. David returns to Red Ice to discuss more about the electric universe and plasma cosmology. We’ll begin talking about Mars, the Moon and hemispheric electric discharge. Then, David explains how our planetary system once moved in a more chaotic way, unrecognizable to us today. Through reconfiguring our planetary past, he reveals archetypal memories which tell specific stories from the age of Gods and wonders. Later, he shares interesting information about the Sun which has brought solar physics to a halt. We’ll discuss the Sun’s anomalous attributes. David presents a more plausible model of the Sun.

I would like to ask Mr. Talbots why is it he refuses e's to give any credit the works WALTER RUSSELL? I listened to this interview and there is no mention of him. It is Walter Russell who brought the idea of the electric universe to mankind back in the 1930's.

Curious Observations...
"Cronus" => "Chronos" => Saturn => The time keeper

In a scenario where the Earth existed within a Saturnian system , "time" possibly did not exist as we know it since there was no rising and setting sun.

"The Land Before Time" is a animated film by Speilberg and Lucas from 1988. It is about dinosaurs. It is theorized that dinosaurs were able to get so large because Earth had less gravity at one point, possibly when it was in the Saturnian system.

Just a few thoughts.

some info
The Sun is not hot, it is cooler than the earth. It is something like a step down transformer bringing energy into this plane from the region above it. If the sun itself where hot that would mean the energy of the higher plane is hot which it is not. It is beyond the ionic-> etheric.

A Brazilian physicist also establish this in the 1950s/60s.

Also there was a man in LA in the 80s who wrote books like "Newton's Laws are full of flaws.".

Hi LC, yes...
After writing and submitting my posts yesterday I thought, "wait a minute, the I Ching is based on Yin and Yang, Positive and Negative polarities or charges, which is itself very electrical and magnetic, so maybe the I Ching really is based on the electric universe theory in some way seeing as how it's all interconnected."

So I got this image in my mind of like a battery with a positive end and a negative end, or like a magnet with a north and south pole. The many different combinations and variations of these positive and negative "charges" within the hexagrams are what give us the very extensive archetypal archive of human experience that is the I Ching. That the I Ching is so closely connected to the structure and language of DNA isn't trivial either. One interesting connection that Nassim Harramein found is that when you take the 1st and 2nd hexagrams of the I Ching, primary Yang and primary Yin, you can make only one 3 dimensional shape out of those lines, and that is a star tetrahedron or double tetrahedron, which he and others have shown is the pattern in which cells divide after conception. But I've expanded on this and found other interesting connections to kabbalah.

The 1st hexagram of the I Ching is made up of all solid Yang lines. The taoists called the trigrams that make up this hexagram "heaven" trigrams. It is spoken of as a "dragon force," the male polarity. The 2nd hexagram of the I Ching is made up of all broken Yin lines. The trigrams of this hexagram are called "earth" trigrams and it is sometimes described as a "field" (morphogenetic field?), the feminine "polarity" which isn't really a pole at all but that's another subject.

So here we have heaven and earth, and the combination of heaven and earth in the I Ching creates the star tetrahedron, the 2 dimensional flat representation being the 6 pointed star. Now the 6 pointed star has always been a symbol of the balance of opposites. You could even look at the 6th sphere of the hermetic Tree of Life which itself corresponds to the 6th line of the Lord's Prayer, "On Earth as it is in Heaven."

There's a lot more to it, but I get into this and other interesting areas in podcasts I've been putting together here if you're interested:

Excellent interview! Mr. Talbott offers so much hope for humans with the oncoming "tipping point" of the electric universe model coming into mainstream science. Once it is established that electricity fills every space of this universe it is only a matter of time before scientists will seek ways to tap into that source.

The Tao
In a very "matter-ial" way, this "theory" is a generalized description of "The Tao" to me. A theory that lends itself to the connectedness of all things, instead of the deep, black void that supposedly exists between visible celestial bodies.

A theory that references the seeming infinite abundance of "creative material" everywhere. Call it "Tao", "aether", "The Source Field", "God", whatever the heck you want...

Plasma is the result of a visual passing of a charge through the fundamental particles that exist in our reality. The very same "fundamental particles" that are at the foundation of atoms which become the foundational elements of matter. If this theory, is accepted by mainstream scientists, it would further the collective acceptance of very "old" mystical expressions. It isn't a matter of who is "right" or "wrong", more simply a knocking down of the limitations that the collective puts on the human mind and the whole realm of belief and knowledge.

Someone said earlier that all will perceive the objective reality in their own unique way. Were it not for linguistics like "electrical", "plasma" and "physics", perhaps this relationship would be described in a much different way, but we work with the established collective vernacular such to greater understand the collective experience.

Very exciting...

As an aside, The Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars) seemingly could have told us about the electric universe from the get go...

Awesome interview!

I find it a fascinating topic this Electric Universe model.

I think that if you combine this model with the ideas/work of people like Tesla, Kozyrev, Meyl (Scalar/Torsion components), Schauberger and Russell, that you've got a model that brings you much further along the road that explains how the Universe works than the current mainstream views. :)

"We want more!" ;)

P.S. Thinking about it, Prof-Ing. Meyl could be a great guest on your show as well.

Electric science
My thanks to David Talbott for his usual candor and enlightening discussion on the anomalus Planet Mars. I find myself forwarding links to the Thunderbolts group regularily to my friends and work mates, and the replies I get back are astounding and positive. I'm glad to hear David say this is universal and people are catching on. So sad to hear the mainstream still trying to 'debunk' this info though... why? Other than ego and pride towards the past minds, but isn't science 'supose' to move forward?

2nd hour
Hey there Red Ice,

Is there a second hour to this, can't see it in the member section as of yet.

Good stuff again by the way.

greetings, Christopher.

martyred heretics
It is getting more and more difficult for "mainstream" anything to drive nails of discord and disinformation into the hands of heretics who dare manifest visions of something different with lots of evidence to back it up. It might be "wrong" in a few spots, heretical research, but this fear of the spirit of exploration and of the trial and error process has been so stigmatizing that we see this fear reflected all throughout the mainstream and even in alternative research.

If one really wants to "break free" from the matrix of officialdom one has to really reject certain attitudes and behaviors that have also been inherited from them, things that are "under the radar" in our own attitudes and outlooks. Getting angry sometimes is a good thing as it goads and calls attention to situations of discord and polarization. But it can also be used to artificially induce and enhance the polarizing and discord itself, with the goal being that only white noise remains. Many people who see and hear this cacophonous white noise are either afraid to really get into it and address it (perceived mud slinging making you look like just another one of the intolerant, debunking mud people) or they may lack the equipment to perceive or engage it on any level at all in the first place.

There are very big, dynamic arguments being made all over the internet if you haven't noticed, but rarely do I see the whole issue of this arguing and polarizing itself being addressed very deeply. Interestingly enough, Mars plays a role. A friend of mine wrote a paper a while ago about how science has at it's root one overarching emotion or state of being, and that is anxiety and anxious tension. It is more involved than that, but basically our need to constantly alleviate or placate this sense of not having a "solid foundation" is what actually leads to various forms investigation and discovery. When someone is really building a case for something, maybe even something heretical, they do it while sweat is beading down their eyebrows, so to speak. In other words, this is all very Martian in the archetypal sense. "What if something explodes in my face in this process of trial and error? What if the foundations are not solid?" There are anthropomorphic equivalents to all planetary stories, and Talbot and others' work is now showing this on the "very real" physical plane. Runaway trains of creativity and new discoveries are also run away trains of total destruction. Old paradigms are incredibly threatened that their "solid foundations" are being called into question whilst also being systematically dissolved right before their eyes. Being caught in the mire of this dissolution would of course lead to certain individuals comfortable with the orthodoxy becoming very anxious, almost the point of panic. You could call it the "professional panic" of the "expert."

So the "solid foundations" are being "shaken up" and every truly creative act is also a destructive one. There is nothing wrong with having the competitive of spirit in the free market of ideas. The best ideas will of course withstand the test of time. But there's all kinds of ideas out there which brings to an interesting point concerning mars and symbolic understanding.

I would recommend an individual study the symbolism of the Tower card of Tarot, a card corresponding to Mars and representing the "martian action." We see a tower of orthodox that used to have strong foundations being blasted by the "lightning bolt of realization" so that a new understanding may rise out of that destruction, an understanding with even stronger foundations and deeper roots.

As Nassim would say, "this isn't trivial." People hear the word "tarot" and "astrology" and get their rant all prepared to send. Interestingly the Tower also represents the Tower of Babel. I like to call it the "tower of babble" that tried to build itself all the way to "god," but the "language was confounded" as the story goes and the gods blasted the tower (symbolic of single archimedean point of understanding) into many shards (many languages). This action itself leads to the great diversity of humanity as the tower and Mars can also be understood sexually, let alone psychologically and even physically now as we are seeing on the planet mars itself. Even within cultures it is obvious that each person is very different from the next. Different people have different turns of phrase they use, different vocal patterns, and different ideas and understandings of the universe from their own vantage point. Each person has their own philosophy which is why teaching the philosophy of a few prolific writers can itself become a "tower of babble" in many colleges and universities.

I could go on about the existential import of things like mysticism and Astrology being some of the greatest examples of what's being railed against in exactly the same ear plugging short order that David discusses in the end of this interview, but I'll leave it there.
